How do I start exploring new rivers?
Launch from any discovered dock on the map. Your first route is the Broad River Bend, a calm stretch perfect for learning basic steering and reading currents. Complete the introductory paddle to unlock the next region.

What happens if my kayak flips in rapids?
You will be automatically rescued at the nearest checkpoint, but you lose any collected samples from that segment. Equip a spray skirt on the Rapid Runner to reduce flip chances in Class III waters.

Can I upgrade my paddle or storage gear?
Yes. Visit the Equipment Dock between expeditions. You can swap paddles for better reach, add dry bags for longer trips, or install a fish finder to locate hidden wildlife zones. Upgrades are permanent once purchased.

Are there time limits on adventure challenges?
Only on marked Time Trial routes. Regular exploration and environmental surveys have no timer—take as long as you need to photograph birds, measure water clarity, or map shoreline vegetation.

How do I unlock the Coastal Cruiser?
Complete five expedition tasks in the Lake Moultrie area, including a full shoreline survey and a night paddle. Once those are logged, the Coastal Cruiser becomes available at the main dock for 0 credits.
